The 19-year-old is reported to be one of the "top names" on the Red Devils' shortlist, and they are set to keep close tabs on his situation ahead of next summer. It is believed that a move for Yıldız could be difficult, with the Turkey international contracted at the club until 2029.

- Real Madrid are exploring a move for Manchester United full-back Diogo Dalot, reports the Independent. Los Blancos are reported to be considering a £50 million approach for the 25-year-old as they continue their search for a right-back, amid uncertainty over whether they will be able to land Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold. It is said that the Red Devils could be open to letting Dalot leave, with plans to use the transfer fee in an approach for Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyökeres.

EXPERT TAKE

ESPN's Gab Marcotti looks at Real Madrid's potential interest in Diogo Dalot.

Dalot's main asset is his versatility, being able to play both full-back positions. Real Madrid obviously need to find a right-back as Dani Carvajal turns 33 next month (as well as being injured and out of contract in June) and Lucas Vazquez is 33 (and also out of contract in the summer). On the left however, between Ferland Mendy (who extended his deal until 2027 back in September) and Fran Garcia you'd think they have enough cover.

That's why I would imagine the priority is getting a right-sided defender who can be a credible starter in the medium-term (hence why they've been linked with Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold) rather than a guy who can play both full-back positions, but is really a utility player rather than a bona-fide starter on a top side.

The quoted price of £50m (€60m) doesn't track either for a guy who would be a squad player. Resources are not unlimited, even at a club like Real Madrid. That is a very stiff price to pay to sign a full-back, especially one who would, presumably play primarily on the right. According to Transfermarkt, in the last four years, just two right-backs have moved for €50m or more: Jules Kounde to Barcelona and Achraf Hakimi to Paris Saint-Germain. Not only are they substantially better players than Dalot, they were 23 and 22 respectively, whereas he turns 26 in March.

Throw in the fact that there seems to be a role for him, at least for now, in Ruben Amorim's system at Man United and, frankly, it's hard to see this move coming off.
