Ahead of the January transfer window, one Chelsea player appears to be attracting quite a bit of interest.
Given the size of his squad, Enzo Maresca has not been able to give everyone an opportunity this season, so there could be exits at Stamford Bridge next month.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, for example, is yet to start a game in the Premier League. Carney Chukwuemeka and Cesare Casadei have not featured in the English top flight at all.
Despite not including him in his team, Maresca claims he is “very happy” with Dewsbury-Hall.

Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall stance
While Dewsbury-Hall has only played 44 minutes of football in the Premier League this season, it looks like Chelsea’s preference is to retain the midfielder.
According to TBR, while Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Brentford are all interested in signing Dewsbury-Hall, Chelsea would rather keep him and offload other players instead.
Another individual Chelsea look keen to retain is Mykhailo Mudryk, who finds himself in a similar situation to Dewsbury-Hall.
Chelsea have not made Mudryk available despite having his position covered. Both Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto have been starting ahead of him on the left in the Premier League this term.

Pat Nevin wants to see Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall get more game time
Midfield is definitely one of the strongest areas of Chelsea’s squad. Maresca currently has Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Romeo Lavia, who can all play there.
It is why Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to break into the Chelsea head coach‘s starting XI.
Back in October, Chelsea legend Pat Nevin said he wanted to see Dewsbury-Hall get more minutes.
“If you look further around that team, people like Dewsbury-Hall have not even got a game yet and he’s great, a really super player,” Nevin stated. “He showed that in the Conference League a few weeks back and he surely needs more chances soon.”
However, it does not look like that is going to happen, especially with Fernandez coming back into form.
The 23-year-old has scored in Chelsea’s last two Premier League fixtures, helping the Blues to beat both Aston Villa and Leicester City.
All in all, it probably would be better for Dewsbury-Hall to leave Chelsea in January, but it looks like the club want to keep hold of him.
