Tim Steidten joined West Ham United as our director of football in the summer of 2023.
However, the jury is very much still out on the West Ham transfer guru.
Tim Steidten has made some big mistakes in the transfer market, and he’s allegedly prepared to give up on one of his new signings by selling Niclas Fullkrug in January, if the opportunity arises.
The German has also come under fire for bringing in Luis Guilherme, when we desperately needed more energy and power in central midfield.
It has been claimed that Julen Lopetegui isn’t the only man at risk of losing his job, with Steidten also under pressure from the Hammers board.

The 45-year-old has to get his next few signings absolutely spot on, if he is to turn the tide at the London Stadium.
And Steidten seemingly has a masterplan in place to help take West Ham to the next level.

MORE WEST HAM STORIES
The Hammers are crying out for more quality competition in the left-back department.
And it seems like Steidten is leading the charge to bring in someone who would provide exactly that.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that West Ham are pushing hard to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce.
The 20-year-old Lecce left-back is an elite young talent, and is very similar to Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie regarding his playing style.
He has three goals in 13 Serie A games to his name for Lecce so far this season (Transfermarkt).

During those 13 appearances, Dorgu has averaged two tackles, 1.4 clearances and 2.2 shots per game (Who Scored).
Patrick Dorgu would be sensational for West Ham
The Denmark international possesses all of the physical attributes needed to succeed in the Premier League.
He is incredibly strong and has absolutely rapid pace.
Lecce are allegedly demanding around £25 million for the young left-back, and that will undoubtedly look like a steal in a few year’s time.
Signing Patrick Dorgu for that kind of money really should be an absolute no-brainer for West Ham.
It’s clear to see that Tim Steidten wants to drastically lower the age of the West Ham squad.
The German is obviously desperate to add some real pace and youth to the full-back ranks at the London Stadium.
And that is a masterplan that we can all get behind.
