Manchester United's rising star Leny Yoro is poised for his first matchday squad inclusion against Arsenal. Ruben Amorim, speaking on Monday evening, hinted at Yoro's potential involvement, noting the player is in a "good moment" and that "his fitness was better."
It has been confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that Yoro made the journey to London on Tuesday afternoon, marking a significant step in his recovery from a metatarsal fracture sustained during the pre-season tour of the United States.
His careful rehabilitation has been a priority for United, aiming to minimise the risk of re-injury.
United secured Yoro's services from Lille for £51.8million, with an additional £6.6m in add-ons, back in July. He quickly caught attention with a strong performance against Rangers in pre-season.
Amorim lauded Yoro as a "special talent" and "really fast" during his pre-Arsenal press conference but emphasised the need for cautious management of his return to play.
In other team news, young defender Godwill Kukonki has been spotted with the squad heading to London, while Luke Shaw and Noussair Mazraoui were notably absent from the travelling contingent, but they could travel down separately.
