Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta believes “anything is possible” in the Premier League title race this season.
Liverpool have established a nine-point lead at the top of the table having lost just one of their opening 13 games under new manager Arne Slot.
After recovering from a sticky patch earlier this term Arsenal lie in second place on 25 points, ahead of Chelsea on goal difference.
Defending champions Man City find themselves fifth in the standings following a run of four consecutive defeats, but Arteta is not counting them out of the hunt just yet.

“It is a team that has the capacity to turn this around and win, win, win and win,” the Basque native said in his pre-match press conference ahead of welcoming Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night.
“Don’t rule them out because you know how much quality and the coach that they have.”
Although it seems likely that one of Arsenal or Liverpool will win the Premier League this season, Arteta thinks a number of clubs have the capability to put a string of wins together to put themselves in contention. Including Man Utd.
“We are still very early in the season, and any team that has got the capacity to put five or six wins in a row is going to be up there,” he said.
“It is so tough and you see every week how the teams are struggling to maintain winning, winning and winning. I think anything is possible.”
