PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi claims the club have "never considered" Mohamed Salah amid reports linking him with a move to France.
The Liverpool star will see his contract expire this summer and from January 1 he can sign a pre-contract agreement with a team outside of the Premier League. Speculation in France claimed that the Parisians were ready to move for the Egyptian in a matter of weeks.
Al-Khelaifi, however, has said that Salah is not a player on PSG's radar despite airing his admiration for the player. The French giants lost Kylian Mbappe in the summer and do not have the glamour names that they have in the past, but still have no plans to go after Salah.
The PSG chief said, according to Sky in Germany: “It’s not true. He’s a fantastic and amazing player, but we’ve never considered him, to be honest. We know every club would love to have him, but this rumour about us is simply not true.”
PSG currently boast the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Randal Kolo Muani in their forward line, which has allowed them to open up a comfortable gap at the top of Ligue 1. In the Champions League though they continue to struggle, winning one of their five games and could miss out on the knockouts as things stand.
Salah would be open to accepting a one year contract extension at Liverpool - but is growing frustrated with how the club are handling the situation. Following Liverpool's recent win over Southampton, he said he was “probably more out than in” and admitted he was “disappointed” that a contract offer had not been made after another impressive start to the season.
The forward’s priority is to extend his stay at Anfield and he is not pushing to leave. The Reds, who sit top of the Premier League, have maintained that discussions with Salah have been positive and are still ongoing.

But the Egyptian is frustrated at how long talks are dragging on and, according to The Athletic, is unconvinced that the club will match his expectations.
Salah has stressed his “love” for Liverpool, but believes he is still amongst the best players in the world and the terms of any new deal, despite his age, should reflect that standing, which is likely to be the main stumbling block.
