Marc Guehi has written another slogan on his rainbow captains armband
Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi has written another message on his rainbow captain's armband - despite being spoken to by the FA.
The Crystal Palace defender found himself in hot water when he wrote "I love Jesus" across his rainbow armband at the weekend. The Eagles faced Ipswich Town on Tuesday night and the England international has again written on his armband. He appeared to this time have the message 'Jesus loves you' written on his armband.
Altering the arm band is recorded as a rule breach so Guehi could face a reprimand as the FA forbid "political, religious or personal slogans, statements or images."
Despite that Guehi hasn't been put off making his point as the armband debate continues to cause controversy.
Guehi's father, a church minister father, has come out in defence of his son and said: "If you look at what the LGBT community are doing, they are trying to impose on others what they believe in, it's belief against belief, but at the end of the day everyone has the right to an opinion."

Palace are up against Ipswich, whose own captain Sam Morsy has chosen not to wear the rainbow armband on religious grounds.
He was the only skipper across the Premier League not to wear one at the weekend, but it is not a requirement and the midfielder will not face any punishment for choosing not to do so. He has again worn a normal armband on Tuesday night.
The Premier League meanwhile have confirmed to Mirror Football that Morsy will face no punishment from them over his decision. It is understood league chiefs believe it is down to the individual’s decision to wear the armbands and they are not compulsory.
Relegtation-threatened Ipswich defended Morsy for his decision to refuse to wear the armband on religious ground. The Egyptian is a practising Muslim.
