FC Barcelona star Lamine Yamal made a comment in a post-match interview conducted by Esport3 which has been taken as him showing that he is literally playing games with the opposition.
Lamine's head coach Hansi Flick had to admit that his team needs the 17-year-old after a fantastic display against Mallorca resulted in a long overdue 5-1 win for the Catalans in Son Moix.
"He is very important, he can generate many things for the team, we know his quality and we need him," Flick said.
Strengthening the case of those that argue Barca has Lionel Messi-like dependence on Lamine, Flick's men have lost three of the four games that Lamine hasn't started this term.
With him back on the pitch from the offset on the right wing, Barca managed to extend its lead over Real Madrid at the top of the table to four points ahead of the latter taking on Athletic Club in San Mames.
One of the main highlights from the Blaugarna's rout was Lamine providing a delicious pass across the box with the outside of his foot for MVP Raphinha to tap home, and Lamine vowed to continue with such balls as "it's something I'm good at".
Esport3 reporter Francesc Latorre joked with avid gamer Lamine by asking him how you make such a pass on the popular FIFA soccer game now known as FC25 in its latest edition made solely by EA Sports and answered, "It's the L2 button I think," with a laugh.
Sharing photos of Lamine making said pass and also holding up an old copy of Pro Evolution Soccer in addition to his quote, Spanish newspaper MARCA concluded that every passing day it is "clearer", that for Lamine Yamal "this is still a game".
With more important games in La Liga and the Champions League coming up over the next week or so, Lamine, who has only just returned to action after recovering from a muscle overload, reassured any worried fans that his ankle feels "perfect".
"I'm ready to play when I'm needed," he added, which should be music to Culers' ears.
