Arsenal star Kai Havertz delivers bold title intentions ahead of Arsenal vs Manchester United

Arsenal forward Kai Havertz seems to be in high spirits ahead of his team’s home clash against Manchester United in the Premier League on December 4. To that tune, the German has relayed a message of belief that resonates within the Gunners’ camp, reiterating their desire to remain competitive until the very end of this season.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the key fixture, Havertz mentioned the factors which have helped Arsenal get back to strong performances again. He said,

“We’ve been in this race before. We know how tough it is. The Premier League gets harder every year, and now Liverpool are performing at the highest level every week. You have to give them credit.

“But there are still lots of games to play, lots of points to win. We’re ready for the fight. We want to give our best week in, week out, to get three points and compete with the best.”

While Havertz mentioned Liverpool’s stunning start to the season, his comments also serve as a reminder of the sheer self-belief present in the Arsenal camp.

In the past, no team has ever won the Premier League after trailing by nine or more points at the start of December. Liverpool are currently on the good side of the equation as they have made a scintillating start to their campaign currently.

Arsenal, on the other hand, were hit with injury crises and also suspensions due to red cards, resulting in a stumbling performance in September and October. Now, with most of the key players back in the fold, the Gunners will look to reach top form and put together a run of wins that will help them bridge the nine-point deficit to Liverpool.

The north Londoners will welcome old rivals Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium in their next match, while the Reds will face Newcastle United away from home.
