‘I’m at my best moment’… Raphinha expresses his happiness after helping Barcelona get a win against Mallorca

FC Barcelona and Hansi Flick would be relieved with their game against Mallorca last night as they got a much-needed win after having failed to secure a victory in their last three La Liga games.

The Catalans were able to get the full three points in this match despite not playing one of their most important players, Robert Lewandowski.

In the absence of the Polish superstar, it was Raphinha who took on the scoring burden as he scored the second and the third goal for this side.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Brazilian also talked to the media after this game, and highlighted how important it was to win this match:

“We knew how important it was to win again. In the last three league matches, something was missing for us to secure a victory. Today, we played well, but I wouldn’t say it was our best performance. The most important thing was to win, and we achieved that.”

The winger recognized that he is going through one of his best runs of form, but wanted to get even better: “I can say that I’m at my best moment, but I don’t want to stop here. I have a huge affection for this club, and I will do everything I can for it.”

Raphinha also expressed his happiness for his teammate Frenkie de Jong, who scored his first goal of this season last night:

“Frenkie helps us a lot, works incredibly hard, is one of our captains, and we have great affection for him. I’m sure everyone in the locker room is very happy for him.”

The Brazilian also opened up on one of the controversial moments from this game, when Mallorca scored their goal to make the score 1-1:

“I think that by trying to have Samu participate, he could deceive Iñaki, but the referee explained to me that since the play had ended, it wasn’t offside. It’s their decision, and I respect it. We had to quickly refocus on the match.”

Raphinha has been one of the most important players for Barcelona this season, and this was once again the case last night. Hopefully, he will continue to perform at this high level and help the Blaugranes win a major trophy this season.
