Things are going from bad to worse for West Ham United and manager Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers produced another disappointing display on Tuesday and deservedly lost 3-1 to Leicester City in the Premier League.
West Ham were looking to bounce back from the 5-2 thrashing against Arsenal at the weekend, and they had a perfect opportunity as the Foxes were on a three-game losing run.
However, the visitors were outclassed by the East Midlands outfit, who were solid at the back and took their chances brilliantly.
West Ham supporters were frustrated with their team’s performance as they turned on Lopetegui.
The Times journalist Charlotte Duncker shared the fans aimed “sacked in the morning” chants at the Spanish boss.
Lopetegui took over the East London club in May and was allowed to spend in the region of £120 million on improving the quality of his squad.
However, results on the pitch have been disappointing this campaign, as they are languishing in 14th in the Premier League after losing seven of their 14 matches.
Tuesday’s defeat means the Hammers are now just six points above the relegation zone.
It wouldn’t be a surprise for anyone if the club’s board decides to pull the trigger on Lopetegui, who isn’t capable of turning things around at the London Stadium.
The 58-year-old doesn’t look to have a vision as he is constantly changing formations and personnel.
He has a very talented squad at his disposal but has completely failed to get a tune out of them.
