We simulated Arsenal vs Man United to predict huge Premier League clash

Arsenal have the chance to make it three Premier League wins in a row later today when they take on rivals Manchester United.

A thrilling first half saw Arsenal score five goals in a 5-2 win over West Ham United, with the Gunners ending the week second in the Premier League table, joint on points with third-placed Chelsea. After Liverpool's win over Manchester City, Mikel Arteta's side sit nine points off top spot, so three points later today are very important.

It won't be easy though, with Manchester United making a trip to north London to face Arsenal later today. Since sacking Erik ten Hag in October, United are unbeaten across all competitions, with Ruben Amorim's side beating Everton 4-0 in their last outing. Recent history is on the Gunners' side heading into this one, with Arsenal having won the previous three meetings against United.

So, can Arsenal make it four wins in a row against United? Let's take a look.

### Arsenal vs Man United score predicted

To complete this simulation, we used EA FC 25 and updated the squads with the latest injuries and suspensions.

We predict that Arsenal could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their starting XI as follows: **Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Jorginho, Odegaard, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.**

We predict that United could set up in a 3-4-2-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: **Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Ugarte, Dalot; Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.**

The first half was closely contested at the Emirates, though the best chance of the opening stages fell to Kai Havertz who somehow missed the target from a few yards out after latching onto Bukayo Saka's cross into the box. As the first half went on, United grew in confidence, and just before the break, a moment of individual brilliance put the visitors ahead.

Matthijs de Ligt fizzed a pass into the feet of Marcus Rashford who dropped deep to pick up possession, and with William Saliba sticking tight to him, the Englishman cleverly let the ball run through his legs, nutmegging Saliba in the process, to skip away from the defender. With space to run into, Rashford skipped past challenges from Jorginho and Gabriel before entering the box, and he fired into the bottom corner to put Amorim's side ahead.

A goal down, Arsenal came out in the second half a much better side, and United had Andre Onana to thank for staying a goal ahead, with the keeper making a handful of important saves to keep their lead intact. But, Onana didn't shower himself in glory with 10 minutes to go when Gabriel Jesus scored to draw level.

Martin Odegaard spotted Jesus' run in behind the United defence, with the midfielder lifting a pass over the top for the Brazilian to chase. Onana rushed off his line to cut out the pass, but he wasn't quick enough as Jesus got there first to loop a header over the keeper and into the net.

Neither side created any big chances in the closing stages, with the points being shared in north London.
