Whether they like it or not, Chelsea have found their name being mentioned alongside Liverpool and Arsenal in this season’s title race.
Liverpool are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 34 points, with Arsenal and Chelsea sitting below them on 25.
Right now, the only thing separating Arsenal and Chelsea is the alphabet. So with most people viewing the former as title contenders, they have now decided that the latter also have to be.
At this moment in time, though, Enzo Maresca just wants to focus on Chelsea’s next game, which is against Southampton this evening.

The mood at Chelsea amid title talk
Those inside Chelsea also seem to be on the same wavelength as Maresca at present.
According to The Telegraph, internally, no one is getting carried away and the club feel it is pointless to think about what could be achievable at the end of the season before March.
The fact that this is even a topic of conversation, though, shows how well things are going for Chelsea under Maresca.

Heading into the campaign, some had doubts about Chelsea even finishing in the top four. Last month, Jamie Carragher admitted that Chelsea have proven him wrong so far this season.
How Chelsea feel about the job Enzo Maresca has done
While Chelsea are having a good campaign, there is still a long way to go. Lose a couple of games, and people will probably tip them to miss out on the top four again.
For now, though, Todd Boehly and the club seem to be happy with Maresca and the team. The same Telegraph report claims that the people above the Chelsea boss are delighted with the progress that they have seen under him.
Understandably, Maresca had his doubters going into the Chelsea job. He had not been in charge of a Premier League side before and was a relatively inexperienced manager. However, the 44-year-old has now looked to have won those doubters over.
