Jarrod Bowen summed up a truly miserable night for West Ham United against Leicester on Tuesday.
West Ham forward Jarrod Bowen is one of the few players who failed to give up last night, and ran himself into the ground.
Sure, he wasn’t on his best form, but he always gives his all for the Hammers.
After Saturday’s hammering at the London Stadium against Arsenal, Jarrod Bowen faced the press and admitted that West Ham need to make big improvements.
That’s an understatement if you ask me.
We are so far off it right now, it’s untrue.

Julen Lopetegui is a dead man walking, whilst Tim Steidten is facing scrutiny after the poor summer transfer window.
There is real turmoil at the London Stadium right now, with genuine friction behind the scenes.
It’s incredible to think that we’ve actually regressed from last season.
When you think how poor the Hammers were during the second-half of the 2023/24 campaign, that is saying something isn’t it.

And one short video clip from Tuesday’s clash with Leicester summed up the feelings at the club right now.
Jarrod Bowen video tells West Ham fans all we need to know
The Hammers skipper was powerless to prevent our shocking defeat at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
I felt sorry for Jarrod in all fairness – his effort and application hasn’t been lacking at all this season.
And that was no different up in the East Midlands on Tuesday night.
However, Bowen looked incredibly disheartened late on in the match after he ran the ball out for a Leicester goal-kick.
West Ham News and Views posted the following 17-second video clip on X after our defeat to the Foxes:
Never seen Jarrod Bowen looks so disheartened in his near five years at the club. Ran his socks off tonight and fought until the very end, yet has nothing to show for it.
Looks a defeated man. He feels the same concern we do.

I’m not sure I have ever seen Bowen look that defeated.
His shoulders were slumped and it seemed to me like he knew at that moment that his manager was done.
Sure, we played well in patches against Leicester, but the horrific defending from the team as a whole cannot simply be swept under the carpet.
Julen Lopetegui has taken us backwards since arriving at the London Stadium.
The summer signings are failing to gel together, and West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen seems like he’s got the weight of the world on his shoulders.

I’m not sure how Lopetegui comes back from that defeat last night. In fact, I truly believe that he will be sacked imminently.
The 17-second clip of Jarrod Bowen towards the end of the Leicester game on Tuesday night was symbolic of the mood at West Ham right now.
And it was actually very sad to see.
Hopefully Bowen bounces back, and lifts his teammates in the process. We have a huge game against Wolves next week.
And nothing less than all three points will do against the Black Country outfit.
