Real Madrid will take on Athletic Club in an away match tonight, arriving with impressive form after winning three consecutive league games.
In fact, it must be noted that Los Blancos have earned 12 points from a possible 18 in away league matches this season, with three wins and three draws, remaining unbeaten on the road so far.
However, it is important to remember that Real Madrid have played fewer away games compared to other teams, as their match against Valencia at Mestalla was postponed due to the devastating Dana storm.
Real Madrid’s away record
Carlo Ancelotti’s side has managed wins in their away games against Real Sociedad (0-2), Celta Vigo (1-2), and Leganes (0-3), while drawing matches against Mallorca, Las Palmas, and Atletico Madrid, all with a 1-1 scoreline.
Defensively, Real Madrid have been solid away from home, conceding just four goals. The only players to have scored against them are Vedat Muriqi at Son Moix, Alberto Moleiro at Estadio de Gran Canaria, Angel Correa at the Metropolitano, and Williot Swedberg at Balaidos.

To put things in perspective, Real Madrid are second in La Liga for the fewest away goals conceded, with only Real Sociedad having a better defensive record, conceding just two goals.
While their away form has been commendable, Real Madrid’s stronghold has been at home. Of their 33 points, 21 have come from home matches at the Santiago Bernabeu, where they have recorded seven wins and one defeat.
Real Madrid’s record vs Athletic Club
At San Mames, Real Madrid have had a dominant record, with seven wins and two draws in their last nine visits to Athletic Bilbao. They have not beaten Real Madrid at home in La Liga since March 7, 2015.
While Athletic Club did defeat Real Madrid in the 2021-2022 Copa del Rey quarter-finals, it was a late goal from Alex Berenguer in the 89th minute that secured their win and a spot in the semi-finals.
Real Madrid’s strong away form and impressive history at San Mames make them firm favourites heading into tonight’s match.
