Julen Lopetegui looked crestfallen after his West Ham United side were beaten 3-1 by Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Julen Lopetegui is a dead man walking at West Ham right now, there is no doubt about that whatsoever.
All that remains to be seen is whether or not the Hammers head coach is given the Wolves game to save his job.
All is not well at the London Stadium right now and aside from Lopetegui, Tim Steidten’s job is far from safe as well.
David Sullivan was right to move on David Moyes in the summer, but he appointed the wrong man to replace him, it really is as simple as that.
If the Hammers are to make some genuine progress as a club over the next few years, it’s clear to see that we need a new manager at the helm.

Lopetegui has badly underperformed in his role this season, and it’s time for him to go.
And ironically, the perfect replacement for the Spaniard was standing just yards away from him at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

Perfect West Ham boss was at the King Power for Leicester defeat
As the Hammers players left the field of play on Tuesday night, there was an ominous feeling in the air regarding Lopetegui’s future.
He has been walking on very thin ice over the past month or so, but the defeat to Leicester very much felt like the final nail in his coffin.
If we’re being honest, Lopetegui should have been sacked after the Tottenham defeat in October.
And now the time has surely come to move him on.
Ironically, his potential future replacement was standing just yards away from him at the King Power Stadium.
Graham Potter was on punditry duty for the Premier League clash.
It has already been suggested that Potter could be the man to replace Lopetegui at West Ham.
And I really think he’s the man we should be going after.
Why Graham Potter is perfect for West Ham
We all want to see a more exciting playing style right? But we want results as well.
That combination is never easy to find unless we’re talking about the elite managers in the game.
However, if we’ve all got the stomach and the patience for a Graham Potter rebuild, the future could be very bright indeed.
The 49-year-old favours a possession based system, whereby he insists on constant movement from his players in order to create space for the man with the ball at his feet.

His teams always press high up the pitch with real aggression.
He is well-known for using numerous different systems – 4-4-2, 3-4-3, 3-5-2 and 4-2-3-1 just to name a few.
Potter is incredibly flexible and constantly changes formations, systems and his team shape throughout matches.
If given time, he would take us to the next level, I’m sure of it.
It’s funny to think that Julen Lopetegui’s future replacement was standing only yards away from him during Leicester’s win over West Ham.
Was that a coincidence? I remember when Alan Curbishley was on punditry duty for Sky Sports when Alan Pardew was on the verge of getting the bullet.
And a week later, Curbs had the Hammers hot-seat. We all know it could happen, it just remains to see if it will.
