In the decisive leg of the Euro 2025 qualifying play-offs, Norway and Sweden officially booked their place at next summer's tournament.
**Frida Maanum** was one of Norway's three goalscorers in their 3-0 dispatch of Northern Ireland, with our midfielder winning the ball high up the pitch and drilling the ball in at the near post.
**Stina Blackstenius**, meanwhile, bagged a brace for Sweden as they thrashed Serbia 6-0 in Stockholm (8-0 on aggregate). Our striker scored Sweden's third of the game, overpowering two defenders and squeezing a shot through the melee. She got her second just before half-time, rifling home after a loose ball strayed into her path. After scoring in the last match, **Rosa Kafaji** was an unused substitute this time around.
But there was heartbreak elsewhere in the qualifiers as Ireland and Austria both suffered home losses, thus failing to qualify for Euro 2025.
Wales took a two-goal lead over Ireland on their home turf and though Anna Patten pulled a goal back from a **Katie McCabe** corner, it proved too late for the Girls in Green. This is the first major tournament for Wales.
For Austria, **Manuela Zinsberger** played the full 90 minutes and **Laura Wienroither** came on as a 72nd substitute. However, their side were undone by a stoppage-time winner from Ewa Pajor to take Poland through to the European Championships.
In friendly action, Spain defeated France 4-2, with **Mariona Caldentey** picking up a goal and an assist along the way. **Laia Codina** also played the full match for Spain at centre-back.
**Emily Fox** and **Daphne van Domselaar** went head-to-head in the Netherlands as the US Women's National Team narrowly beat the Dutch 2-1. Both of our Gunners played the full 90 minutes.
**Kathrine Kuhl** provided an assist for Signe Bruun as Denmark ran out 2-0 winners against Iceland.
**Beth Mead** and **Alessia Russo** were both second-half substitutes for England in their 1-0 win over Switzerland. The Swiss, missing captain **Lia Walti**, were beaten by a Grace Clinton goal in the 8th minute. **Leah Williamson** and **Lotte Wubben-Moy** were unused substitutes for the Lionesses.
After securing wins against Turkey and Italy in the U19 European Championship qualifiers, the young Lionesses were narrowly beaten by the tournament hosts, Poland. Loanees **Michelle Agyemang, Maddy Earl** and **Jessie Gale** all started for England, with **Vivienne Lia** and **Sophie Harwood** introduced in the second half.
**Teyah Goldie** featured for the full match as England U23s suffered a 2-1 loss to Sweden, while **Freya Godfrey** joined the fray after an hour.
