This year has seen Newcastle United continue to adapt to their new position as one of the chasing pack in the Premier League.
A seventh placed finish last season saw Eddie Howe’s side narrowly miss out on consecutive seasons of European football, following their return to the UEFA Champions League in 2023.
It has been a mixed start to the new campaign with the Magpies sat tenth, part of a cluster of several clubs eyeing a move towards the European spots, but that hasn't stopped plenty of individuals standing out at St James' Park.
And with the new year quickly approaching, we want to know who you think should be the Newcastle Fans’ Footballer of the Year for 2024. Kieran Trippier was the man to beat last year, with the England man picking up both club and national honours.
Anthony Gordon could pull off a similar double sweep this year, and if he does, he'll also join Bruno Guimaraes (2022) in holding both the club and national crown. [Both awards can be voted on here](https://fansfootballeroftheyear.mirror.co.uk/), with the winger looking to make it an unprecedented three national wins in a row for Magpies players.

Isak may have had a slow start to the season but he is beginning to find his feet with four goals in as many games of late. It’s also easy to forget he scored 14 goals between January and May earlier in the year, including three braces during that period. He remains the class act of this Newcastle side.
### **Bruno Guimaraes**
Speculation loomed over Bruno Guimaraes’ future at the back end of last season after a stellar run of form earned him a £100m release clause. The midfielder continues to excite fans and has enjoyed a strong start to the season in the middle of the park, taking the Newcastle captaincy in the process.
### **Anthony Gordon**
Gordon’s end of season form for Newcastle earned him a place on the plane for England as they battled bravely to the Euro 2024 final. The winger may not have featured heavily at the tournament but he has been an ever-present in Eddie Howe’s side, chipping in with 16 goal contributions since January.
### **Fabian Schar**
Newcastle’s most consistent defender of the last 12 months, Fabian Schar earns his place among the contenders this year. Father time just hasn’t caught up with the Swiss star yet, allowing him to hold down his place as one of the first names on Eddie Howe’s team sheet, even when speculation swirled over a summer centre-back signing.
As mentioned, you can cast your vote by submitting the form in the widget - you can also take part in the overall award whilst you’re there.
