It has been another year of nearly but not quite for Arsenal in 2024.
Last season culminated in another second-placed finish for Mikel Arteta’s side, as rivals Manchester City pipped them at the final hurdle to win a record fourth consecutive Premier League title.
In the summer, star man Bukayo Saka played a key role in England’s road to the Euro 2024 final but was on the losing side as Spain triumphed in Berlin.
Arteta remains keen to secure that elusive title for the Gunners, with the club currently inside the top four but a way to go behind current leaders Liverpool.
And with the New Year quickly approaching, we want to know who you think should be the Arsenal Fans’ Footballer of the Year for 2024.

Here are our nominations for this year’s award:
Martin Odegaard
Sometimes you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone. That’s certainly not the case with Martin Odegaard. Everybody knew losing him for a few months was going to be a blow and so it has proved. The Norwegian is essential to everything Arsenal do both on the ball and off it. He had a genuine shout to be Premier League player of the year last season, and is arguably the most influential player in this Gunners squad.
Bukayo Saka
It goes under the radar slightly but Saka’s numbers in 2024 have been phenomenal. At the coming of the November international break he has 15 goals and 10 assists in 31 games for Arsenal. He’s also on course to break Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry’s Premier League assist record. Still on 23, Saka delivers for the Gunners every time it counts and is a strong contender for player of the year.
Gabriel Magalhaes
His partner William Saliba gets all the plaudits, but Gabriel has quietly transformed himself into arguably the best defender in the Premier League. Once viewed as someone with a rick in him, it’s genuinely hard to remember the last time the Brazilian had a bad game. His propensity to pop up with big goals in big moments certainly helps his standing too.
Kai Havertz
The German took a while to get going, but he’s now one of the first names on Arteta’s team sheet. Key to the turnaround has been his transition into an out-and-out number nine. Since moving to the centre forward position he has 15 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances. Havertz is now looking like a player who loves the physical side of the game too and is a real asset to Arteta’s side.
