Arsenal are in the market for a new striker.
The Gunners have been looking for a new striker for some time, and they’ve been linked with a number of potential options.
However, perhaps the two most notable striker links coming out of north London have been to Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak.
Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Isak, while Sesko was a concrete target last summer.
Isak is perhaps the more exciting of the two targets, but according to Steve Kay, speaking on KS1 TV, Arsenal may go for Sesko instead of Isak unless the Newcastle star is available for just £50m.

Arsenal could get Benjamin Sesko instead of Alexander Isak
Kay shared what he knows about Arsenal’s plans to sign a new striker
The journalist says that Arsenal love Sesko and they will go for the RB Leipzig star unless Isak is available for a cut-price.
“When the summer comes around, Arsenal may well be in for Isak, but Isak needs to be around £50m for Arsenal to entertain it, because they will just go and get Sesko, who I know Arsenal love. Manchester United are also interested in Sesko as well, so Arsenal may have a fight on their hands,” Kay said.
Alexander Isak compared to Benjamin Sesko
It sounds as though Sesko and Isak are the two main targets for Arsenal to go in for this summer, and it’s interesting to compare these two statistically.
Indeed, Sesko and Isak are very similar in terms of their statistical profiles this season.

Assists 2 2

Interestingly, neither player has scored as many goals as Kai Havertz this term, so there may be an argument to make that neither player is an upgrade on what the Gunners already have.
Of course, Isak was on another level last season, but he hasn’t managed to find that form this term.

Isak was brilliant last season, and if he can rediscover that form, he’ll certainly be a difference-maker in this Arsenal team.
Whether or not Isak is available for £50m in the summer remains to be seen, but Isak may look to leave Newcastle if they’re not in Europe next season, so a deal could well be on the cards.
As for Sesko, the Slovenian is something of an unproven commodity. The striker has only ever had one season where he’s hit more than 10 league goals, but, at the age of just 21, he has bags of potential and room to grow.
