Tim Steidten is in favour of Julen Lopetegui being sacked and has already begun planning for his successor at West Ham, according to GiveMeSport.

The online source reported [4 December] that the current head coach is in “serious danger” of losing his job after just a few months, and the technical director has been pivotal in making a succession plan.

It is understood that Lopetegui was not Steidten’s first choice to replace David Moyes during the summer and has now held talks with Edin Terzic about a potential move to East London.

Tim Steidten already planning for next West Ham United manager?

Steidten is clearly not getting his way at the London Stadium, with the technical director not seeing eye-to-eye with Moyes before his exit, and now happy to see Lopetegui axed.

The Spaniard has only been in charge for 16 matches in all competitions but it has been an awful introduction to see him in East London, with the Hammers sitting 14th in the Premier League.

With four league victories in that time, fans are already calling for the head coach to be sacked, and rightly so, as the team continues to go back to square one after a hint of progression.

Everyone was surprised when Lopetegui led his side to the 2-0 win over Newcastle United before crashing back down to earth in a 5-2 loss to Arsenal.

While the performance against Leicester City was positive in an attacking regard, creating plenty of chances in the final third, the result is what matters most and they lost all three points in a 3-1 defeat.

The Hammers are now separated from the relegation zone by just six points, seeing the Foxes move within just two points of them in the table, something which only continues to frustrate and anger fans.

It seems as though his time is already up at the London Stadium.

In other West Ham news, Jim White has shared a new Julen Lopetegui sack update, with a board meeting set within the next 72 hours.
