Everton appear to have joined the race for a free agent manager along with West Ham United.
The Toffees find themselves in a difficult position due to the imminent change of ownership, with a managerial change not being favoured by Farhad Moshiri.
The Friedkin Group‘s takeover is ‘very close’ and could be completed in the next couple of weeks, which is when we could see some managerial movement.
It’s believed that David Moyes is the favourite to replace Dyche, but there’s no guarantee he’ll be gone if results start to improve in the near future.
Interestingly, it’s now been claimed that Everton have made their interest known in another manager, but they face a battle to land him.
Everton make their interest known in Sergio Conceicao
Sergio Conceicao has been out of a job since leaving Porto.
The Portuguese boss managed 368 games at Porto, securing a points per game average of 2.38, as well as picking up 11 trophies.
His record and management style is attracting plenty of interest, including at Everton.

According to O Jogo (as per Sport Witness), Everton have expressed an interest in hiring Sergio Conceicao, who is described as ‘prestige’ in the report.
However, they face competition from West Ham United, who are looking to sack Julen Lopetegui.
It’s also claimed that Nantes have been trying to bring him back to France, but Everton’s interested has made it a ‘serious possibility’ that he won’t be available.
What should the Friedkin Group do now?
It seems clear that the Friedkin Group don’t value Dyche very highly, as they appear to have both David Moyes and Sergio Conceicao on their radar at the moment.
Conceicao has proved himself to be very successful in Portugal and plays an exciting brand of football, but it could be seen as a risk when looking to avoid relegation.
He’ll no doubt need to make some signings, and it remains to be seen as to how much Everton can do in January amid potential FFP and PSR worries.
Moyes seems a much safer option as he knows Everton inside out and what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.
