Wolves are hoping to bounce back in the Premier League after suffering defeat to Bournemouth.
Just as the Old Gold’s form looked to be turning, Wolves lost 4-2 to Bournemouth to refuel the discontent regarding Gary O’Neil.
O’Neil has the worst win record of Wolves managers in the modern era, seeing his side sit in the bottom three.
Things have to change rapidly, starting with Everton as Wolves prepare to battle for three points at Goodison Park.

What Sean Dyche is expecting from Wolves
If anyone understands the criticism fired at O’Neil, it’s Sean Dyche, who has been in the midst of a relegation battle since joining Everton in January 2023.
The two managers know what’s at stake on Wednesday night, making the fixture something of a blockbuster on Merseyside.
O’Neil says Wolves are ready to bounce back against Everton, previewing the game after the defeat to Bournemouth.
Dyche spoke to the media ahead of the contest, where he shared his personal assessment of Wolves when asked what he expects from the visitors.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
“People weren’t saying that at the very beginning of the season about them,” Dyche said when a reporter referred to Wolves as ‘battle-hardened’.
“They’ve corrected it somewhat more recently until obviously not so good on Saturday. They’ve got good players, most teams in the Premier League do have.”
Dyche credited how Wolves have changed their sometimes scrappy approach in games and went on to emphasise the importance of Wednesday’s clash.
“They’ve had a tough start, as have we, for different reasons. Different challenges, different reasons. It’s another big game and another important game. A very important game.”
Dyche expects Wolves to present a defensive challenge
It’s a must-win game for both teams involved, with Everton sitting just two points above Wolves outside of the relegation zone.
Another defeat would spell bad news for the Old Gold however, Dyche understands the threat that the visitors can pose, calling for his defenders to step up.
“Our defensive record until Sunday was very strong, we know that. I’d like to think we wouldn’t make that many individual errors [against Wolves],” he said.
The English manager was referring to Everton’s sloppy 4-0 defeat to United and called on his players to revert to their usual standard all over the pitch.
“We’ve corrected the defensive unit from the start of the season, and now it’s about finding that balance I speak about endlessly. Get back to that solid feel, but also have more awareness in the attacking third.”
From attacking improvements to restoring defensive strength, Dyche is hoping to see a lot from his players at Goodison, giving O’Neil an insight into what he must to do spoil the party.
