Pau Victor admits it’s hard to get minutes at Barcelona with Robert Lewandowski around but he’s doing his best to learn from his team-mate.
[Lewandowski was given a rest against Mallorca on Tuesday](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/12/3/24312229/hansi-flick-explains-decision-to-bench-robert-lewandowski-against-real-mallorca), with Hansi Flick opting for Ferran Torres instead of Victor.
However, the youngster did arrive in the second half and grabbed a goal in a 5-1 win for the Catalan giants.
Here’s what he to say after the game.
> “When you have the best striker in the world as competition, it’s difficult to get minutes, but I try to learn a lot from him every day and take advantage of the opportunities that are given to me,” he told Esports 3.
Victor also took time out to praise Flick and says he has all the players right behind him.
> “It’s a great virtue that he has, I think he’s a very, very good manager, and he has us all at 100%,” he added.
>
> “It’s something that sometimes isn’t entirely easy because those who don’t play are sometimes angrier or find it harder to stay connected, but this is a very united dressing room, where we all work together and want to contribute no matter what.”
Victor will be hoping for more minutes as the season progresses. He’s made 14 appearances in total, but made just one start and only played a total of 194 minutes,
