Bunny claims November’s Etihad Player of the Month

The Jamaican enjoyed a phenomenal 30 days and fought off fierce competition from Jill Roord and Alex Greenwood to the award.

Her six goals across our five November assignments helped us win four of those encounters and qualify for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with two group matches to play.

She began the month by round off the scoring in our 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park which represented our 200th Barclays Women’s Super League fixture.

After possessing a strong lead in the capital, Bunny extended our advantage when meeting a pinpoint Jess Park cross to head home from close range.

A spectacular hat-trick then followed as we put Tottenham Hotspur to the sword 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium with her first arriving after just 21 seconds.

Her latest treble moved her to the top of all-time WSL hat-trick chart – surpassing team-mate Vivianne Miedema to reach the summit.

What’s more, by scoring three times against Spurs, Bunny became the first player in the competition’s history to score three trebles against the same opposition.

To close the month, she then produced a battling display and scored twice in Sweden as we recorded a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hammarby.

Shaw’s first arrived in the first half when her deflected strike found the net before reestablished our lead with a venomous effort from the edge of the area shortly after the hosts’ equaliser.

Congratulations to Bunny on an incredible November and many thanks to those who voted!
