Arsenal defender Gabriel is a doubt for their game against Manchester United on Wednesday night.
The Brazil international picked up a knock during the Gunners’ 5-2 win against West Ham United at the weekend meaning he could miss Ruben Amorim‘s first trip to the Emirates as United come to play Arsenal on Wednesday.
Gabriel picked up an issue previously during Arsenal’s 5-1 win against Sporting CP last week and it has just re-emerged as a problem this week.
Mikel Arteta said: “It was related to the previous injury that he had in Lisbon, and obviously, he did great to be part of that, but with that result and with the niggle that he’s feeling, we decided to take him off.”
Speaking to GoonerNews leading Premier League injury analyst said it is more of a minor issue in terms of Gabriel. “His withdrawal was more of a precautionary measure, he had a little bit of discomfort.” He said, “It’s not ideal, but Arsenal do have Kiwior as an option who could come in there. They’ve got Zinchenko as well.”
