December 4 – Premier League Brentford have renewed their collaboration with talent scouting digital platform Eyeball.Club that will see the Bees integrate Eyeball.Club’s software into their talent identification systems, complementing their traditional scouting methods which have proved to be successful since breaking into the Premier League in 2021.

Renowned for their data-driven recruitment approach, the technology at the club’s disposal is built on full-match video, computer vision AI, data analytics, and video analysis.

Eyeball.Club says its platform not only improves the accuracy and efficiency of player evaluations but also provides clubs with insights that can identify future stars earlier, potentially unlocking new revenue streams through player sales.

Company founder, Benjamin Balkin, said: “At Eyeball we are using data and AI technology to help professional clubs like Brentford unearth undiscovered and undervalued talent in places that other scouts and platforms aren’t even looking yet.

“Brentford has been at the forefront of utilising data and data science to drive their recruitment strategy in recent seasons and their innovative and structured approach to tactics and recruitment is one of the best in world football. The renewal of our partnership will continue to help support the club in their efforts to identify talent around the globe.”

Chris Bradley Head of Scouting at Brentford FC said:  “Eyeball plays an important role in our ability to identify and assess youth players across key emerging talent markets. It has streamlined our scout’s assessment process, allowing us to act quicker and more effectively on players of interest.”

Brentford will face Aston Villa tonight at Villa Park in the Premier League. As things stand, Frank’s side sit eighth in the table but only five points off of second place.
