Manchester United currently sit just four points outside of the Champions League places in the Premier League following an unbeaten start to Ruben Amorim’s reign.
The Red Devils picked up a resounding 4-0 victory over Everton in Ruben Amorim’s first Premier League home match.
Man United head to the Emirates next to face Arsenal, knowing that victory would put them within touching distance of the Gunners in second place.
However, pre-match plans have been thrown into jeopardy following a social media post from left-back Luke Shaw, who appears to have confirmed yet another injury setback.

“But what I can promise is I will do everything I can to come back better soon to help this club achieve its ambitions this season.”
Shaw, rated highly by Aston Villa manager Unai Emery, is a player that many had picked to flourish under new boss Amorim’s guidance and tactics.
How Luke Shaw’s injury could affect Ruben Amorim’s Man United plans
Thus far in his short reign, Amorim has mixed up his line up in order to find the best formula for his tactics.
Tyrell Malacia and Diogo Dalot have been used in the left wing-back position and Alan Shearer believes Amad Diallo has been ‘brilliant’ on the right-hand flank.
Luke Shaw was no doubt Amorim’s number one choice to be played in the wide role when he arrived but with the full-back’s wretched injury record, the Portuguese manager may now have to look at alternative solutions.
Season Injury Days out Number of games missed

One potential solution that has been proposed is that Amorim may have to dip into the January transfer window- David Raum is seen as the perfect left wing-back Man United for the 3-4-3 formation.
