In a groundbreaking move for global sports broadcasting, DAZN has been named the exclusive global broadcaster of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Under this agreement, DAZN will have the rights to broadcast all 63 matches of the tournament, which will feature 32 of the world’s top football clubs, live and free of charge. Fans across the globe will be able to watch every match of the competition in various languages on DAZN’s platform, with the added flexibility of potential sublicensing to local broadcasters in different regions.
The deal, reported by RMC to be worth €1 billion, will allow football fans around the world to enjoy the tournament without any cost.
### A New Era
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will be a major expansion of the tournament. For the first time, the competition will feature 32 teams, expanding from the previous format of 7 or 8 teams. The competition will run for 29 days, with matches held across 12 venues in the United States, culminating in the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The tournament will begin on June 15, 2025, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
“I am delighted to announce that FIFA, in partnership with DAZN and FIFA+, will bring the best of club football to every corner of the globe for free,” FIFA President Gianni Infantino said. “Fans around the world will be able to watch the best clubs compete to become the first official FIFA World Cup winners.”
