The coaching staff at La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to lean on the club’s academy, in efforts to rebuild the club’s backline.
That’s according to **[Marca](https://www.marca.com/futbol/real-madrid/2024/12/04/revolucion-empieza-abajo.html)**, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into ongoings behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
The subject of the defensive options, or rather lack thereof, at the disposal of Carlo Ancelotti has of course dominated the headlines at the Santiago Bernabéu over recent weeks.
This comes after the long-term absences of both David Alaba and Dani Carvajal were added to by Éder Militão.
Los Blancos, in turn, have been forced to turn to youth, in the form of Raúl Asencio.
And the stellar early performances put forth by Asencio at the heart of the club’s backline look set to open the door for a number of further starlets to make the step up to senior level in the near future.
As per a report from Marca, in the knowledge that they will soon require not only added quality, but quantity in defence, Real Madrid are ready to throw their backing behind another three young stoppers.
The trio in question? Joan Martínez, Jacobo Ramón, and Diego Aguado.
