Amorim was asked about Shaw.
Ruben Amorim has insisted he will support Luke Shaw after his latest injury at Manchester United.
Shaw made three appearances from the bench against Ipswich Town, Bodo/Glimt and Everton after his return to fitness last month but picked up another minor injury after the weekend.
The defender confirmed on Tuesday night he had suffered a "small setback" and sources said it's a muscular injury, which is expected to keep him on the sidelines for "a few weeks."
Amorim spoke to Amazon Prime before United's game against Arsenal and was asked about Shaw's latest setback. "What I said to him as a coach, since I'm here, I saw him in the medical department, in the gym, I saw him losing weight, I said him in training, so he did everything right," he said.

"But sometimes when you have a few injuries, it's really hard to recover. So if he continues with this behaviour, doing everything he can, I will be here and all the staff will be here for how long it takes.
"We believe a lot in him and he's so important for our team and for the future in how I see the team, Luke is a very important player for us."
Amorim sealed the first Premier League win of his tenure against Everton last weekend but he has made six changes, replacing multiple players who starred in that comfortable 4-0 win.
"I know this game matters a lot to our fans, but it's just one more game. We have to compete and show our game with the ball because it will be massive today," he added.
"Thinking with the ball and they [Ugarte and Fernandes] have pace, so we are looking for that. Arsenal are a very strong team, very physical and Ugarte and Fernandes can run.
"That is very important today. The same thing [Rashford and Zirkzee benched]... When Rasmus scored twice, he went to the bench and the other ones scored. I think we're playing two in two days.
"Arsenal has one more day, so we have to rotate the team. It's impossible to play with the same team in every game. We're trying to push the storm a little bit further in time in space.
"We're just trying to improve as a team, we'll try to win the game, and no doubts we know we're in a different point but we want to win."
