Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim's former university professor has spoken about how the former Sporting Lisbon boss is different to Portuguese legend Jose Mourinho.
Before becoming a manager, Amorim enrolled at University of Lisbon's high-performance football coaching course. The course was created by Mourinho and was led by Professor Antonio Veloso.
According to Professor Veloso, it was always obvious that Amorim would become a top coach and win trophies in Portugal - and he also now has the structure around him at Old Trafford that Mourinho lacked. During the 39-year-old's time as a post-graduate, he spent a week at Carrington observing Mourinho preparing for a game.

Veloso told Amazon Prime that during this experience, he spotted the lack of structure at Old Trafford which ultimately would cost Mourinho his job. "Manchester United is a very tough job, the club is gigantic but the structure of the club, at least when Jose was there, was not," he explained.
"Everybody had their own agenda and that makes a huge difficulty for someone who comes as a manager." While Veloso may have a critical view of the United hierarchy on his visit, Amorim should not suffer the same problems.
Since the days of Mourinho, Ineos have taken over the footballing operations at United and made big strides to try and change the set-up behind-the-scenes at the club. Dan Ashworth is overseeing the football structure with Jason Wilcox reporting to him.
Omar Berrada has been appointed as CEO to create a better structure inside the club. As such, Amorim should have a better chance of success than Mourinho, according to Professor Veloso.
Ahead of Wednesday's clash with Arsenal, Amorim was unbeaten as United manager.
