Amazon Prime's coverage has returned as they broadcast all 10 midweek Premier League fixtures.
It's back. The Premier League has officially returned to Amazon Prime Video for a full round of fixtures this week – and many fans are in agreement when it comes to their coverage.
Under the current Premier League UK broadcast deal, the popular streaming platform has two rounds of fixtures per season, including Wednesday's games involving Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
Arsenal's clash with Manchester United was arguably the standout tie, with coverage being provided by Gabby Logan, Theo Walcott, Dimitar Berbatov and Roberto Martinez, while Alan Shearer joined Jon Champion on commentary.
Dan Walker, meanwhile, hosted the much-anticipated clash between Newcastle and runaway league leaders Liverpool at St James' Park. Robbie Fowler and Shay Given joined him, while Clive Tyldesley and Matt Upson provided the commentary.
In the past, Amazon Prime's coverage has been met with open arms by fans, and Wednesday evening was no different.
Here's how fans on social media reacted.
One fan said: "Amazon Prime format is the way forward. Would happily pay an additional cost if it's reasonable and put an end to Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Every game on a Saturday and a Sunday including 3pm on a Saturday."
A second wrote: "Whenever football is on Amazon Prime it reminds me how easy it would be for the Premier League to simply sell a subscription service themselves that'd be better than the vast majority of the domestic coverage we have."
A third commented: "Amazon Prime just do everything well with the Premier League coverage."
A fourth said: "Amazon Prime coverage of football is unmatched," and a fifth added: "Amazon Prime Coverage > any other channel showing premier league games. And that’s just a fact!!"
Prime Video will also broadcast 10 fixtures over the Christmas period on December 26-27, with games including Liverpool vs Leicester, Manchester City vs Everton and Arsenal vs Ipswich Town.
