Anthony Gordon sent a message to Liverpool fans after scoring against the Reds on Wednesday night.
After a pass into the box from Alexander Isak, the Newcastle midfielder faked Joe Gomez with a sudden stop and twist before slotting it home to give Toon Army a 2-1 lead. He then turned to Liverpool fans and did the "talking" gesture with his hands.
Gordon's celebration came after a controversial incident involving Virgil Van Dijk earlier in the game. With Newcastle leading 1-0 courtesy of Isak, the ex-Everton star nearly capitalized on Gomez's wayward back pass to double the lead – only to be denied by Caoimhin Kelleher.
Van Dijk then rammed into Gordon elbow first, sending the 23-year-old tumbling to the ground while holding his face. VAR looked into the play before ruling that the Reds captain didn't cross the line.
