Jamie Carragher has pleaded with Liverpool to hand Mohamed Salah a new deal
Jamie Carragher urged Liverpool to "give him what he wants" after Mohamed Salah scored twice at Newcastle.
The Egyptian's contract situation has dominated the headlines and he continues to highlight why the club should keep him, even though there doesn't appear to have been any breakthrough in negotiations.
Salah was on hand to provide the assist for Liverpool 's first equaliser at Newcastle - and then scored himself to make it 2-2. The Liverpool forward has been electric in front of goal and Carragher, as he celebrated, made it known that he wants his former club to tie down Salah. He said: "Get in, get in Curtis lad, 1-1, get paid, back in the game, Mo Salah, give him what he wants, get in."
When Salah scored from a Trent Alexander-Arnold cross Carragher then said: "Give him what he wants!" he then added: "Why don't they just give him the contract?" With just over five minutes to go the Egyptian then put the Reds 3-2 ahead.

It comes just weeks after Salah was accused of being selfish by Carragher. The Egyptian spoke publicly about his future and said he was "more out than in" with no contract offer coming his way as we head towards Christmas.
The Sky Sports pundit said he was "very disappointed" and accused the Egyptian of taking focus off the upcoming games and instead making it about him. Neville reminded Carragher of that but he replied: "yeah he was (selfish then) but he's not now."
Salah is again topping Liverpool's scoring charts but can sign a pre-contract agreement with a team outside the Premier League from January 1. PSG have been linked with a move but their president has come out and denied they will move for the forward.

Salah would be open to accepting a one year contract extension at Liverpool - but is growing frustrated with how the club are handling the situation. The Reds are yet to detail what their position is regarding their striker, who will turn 33 in the summer.
The Egyptian is frustrated at how long talks are dragging on and, according toThe Athletic,is unconvinced that the club will match his expectations.
Salah has stressed his “love” for Liverpool, but believes he is still amongst the best players in the world and the terms of any new deal, despite his age, should reflect that standing, which is likely to be the main stumbling block.
