Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was consoled by a leading teammate, after his latest moment to forget on Wednesday night.
Real are of course currently locked in action, in a La Liga meeting with Athletic Club at San Mamés.
As things stand late in proceedings, Los Blancos find themselves a goal down, owing to a solitary strike on the part of Álex Berenguer.
This, though, only comes after Carlo Ancelotti’s troops missed a golden opportunity to draw level.
After Antonio Rüdiger was taken out in the Athletic Club penalty area, the game’s visitors were awarded a spot-kick.
Despite having fluffed his lines from 12 yards against Liverpool just a week ago, the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé took responsibility of the situation, stepping up to take the penalty.
The Frenchman’s disappointing effort, however, was kept out once more, leaving Real Madrid’s under-fire summer addition looking completely dejected.
Quick on the scene to afford some words of encouragement to his crestfallen teammate, though, was Jude Bellingham.
After himself slotting home from 12 yards at the weekend, midfielder Bellingham rushed to Mbappé’s side, as showcased in the image below:
**\*Update\*** – The scoreline now stands at 2-1 to Athletic.
