I saw 73-touch Everton star save Sean Dyche's job with an unbelievable display vs Wolves -…

Sean Dyche’s job was possibly on the line heading into the Wolves clash, with Everton manager rumours popping up everywhere.

Everton won what was a must-win game, as a loss could have proved costly with the run of fixtures the Toffees have now got coming up.

It was all about set-pieces at Goodison Park, as Wolves just could not keep the likes of James Tarkowski and Dominic Calvert-Lewin from causing a nuisance.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin impressed Everton fans, as he finally started to put himself about and was unlucky not to be awarded any of Craig Dawson’s own goals.

However, there was one player who put in a stellar display at the perfect time for Sean Dyche and Everton.

Ashley Young’s performance in numbers against Wolves

Ashley Young was named the Man of the Match, and rightly so.

The Englishman was absolutely everywhere. He cut out passes, started counter attacks, found himself creating in the final third and looked incredible defensively.

Sean Dyche needed a big display vs Wolves

Sean Dyche was under huge pressure heading into the Wolves clash, with the Friedkin Group already eyeing up David Moyes to come in at Goodison Park.

Sergio Conceicao is another manager who Everton have an interest in, so it’s clear that a change could be in the offing at some point in the future.

Ashley Young delivered for Dyche when he needed him the most, scoring a goal and putting in a mammoth defensive display that helped keep the clean sheet.

His experience shone through and set the tone for Everton, right from the opening minute.
