Ruben Amorim handed Leny Yoro his debut for Manchester United on Wednesday night, four months after he was injured.
It was a tough night for Manchester United at the Emirates, with neither side able to really control the game or create too many chances.
Ultimately, it came down to two corner goals which bested Ruben Amorim on the night, handing him his very first loss at the helm.
Arsenal won 2-0 against United in the end, although it was a far closer game than the scoreline suggested – albeit the Red Devils offered very little going forward.
Despite the disappointing defeat, there was one clear silver lining for Amorim to take. This is Leny Yoro who was finally introduced to the Premier League.

Leny Yoro makes Manchester United debut
Having joined in July, it was long overdue that Yoro made his competitive debut for United.
Amroim deemed him ready to go at the Emirates – which had long been Yoro’s target for a return and he was very impressive right off the bat.
Yoro got 31 minutes of action, replacing the recently returned Harry Maguire and instantly looked the part for Amorim as he slotted in on the right side of the back three.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Yoro’s arrival and this performance will have supporters hoping he is named from the start against Nottingham Forest.
How Yoro played against Arsenal
At just 19 years old, Yoro is the future face of defending and as far as cameos go against one of the league’s best, he can be delighted with his performance.
12/14 passes completed
20 touches
2 passes into final third
1/3 tackles won
2 clearances
1 headed clearance
1 interception
6 defensive actions
4 duels won
While not stats which will move mountains or can tell United fans just how good Yoro can be, they are impressive nonetheless.
Outside of these stats, Yoro’s intangibles were also a welcome addition to the backline as his mobility and speed were key as Arsenal tried to counter when given the chance.
A very encouraging first half hour for Yoro, and we cannot wait to see more of the No.15. It is an exciting prospect to think Amorim is only getting started with talents like Yoro.
