Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Stamford Bridge.

Boniface update

Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Victor Boniface, but it seems the Bundesliga champions want to avoid any possibility of a departure in the near future.

German journalist Florian Plettenberg tweeted: “Bayer 04 Leverkusen aim to extend the contract of Victor #Boniface from 2028 to 2029. Negotiations are underway. 23 y/o striker set to join the club’s top earners. Also to ensure that he does not already leave the club in the summer. Manchester United monitoring Boniface but not held any talks so far as reported. #MUFC interest in Viktor #Gyökeres is much more concrete.”

Caicedo on tough star

Chelsea’s big money signing Moises Caicedo had a tough start to life at Chelsea, but he has come into his own under Maresca this season. Opening up in his Blues career so far, Caicedo told the club website: “When you come to a big club you always need to know that people are going to talk about you. It was me in that moment [after joining] and I suffered a little bit. But this is football and in football, this happens a lot. You need to be strong, to have a strong mentality, and to have good people around you to help you. I have that; my people support me in every moment and I’m so happy about that.

“I think he [Maresca] is happy with me because I always try to show him I want to help the team. He can see that in every game. I’m happy working with him, he is helping us a lot. All the players and staff are happy with how we are doing now.”
