Matthijs de Ligt admitted Manchester United "didn't have many chances" after Wednesday's defeat to Arsenal.
Ruben Amorim suffered his first defeat in charge of United against Arsenal at the Emirates, with the Gunners scoring twice through corners in the second half to claim a 2-0 win.
Jurrien Timber and William Saliba got on the scoresheet for Arsenal and United were unable to deal with the threat of their corners, which were teed up by brilliant deliveries.
Although United defended bravely in the first half and kept Arsenal at arm's length, they struggled to create any meaningful chances, despite De Ligt coming close with a header.

United scored four goals in a comfortable win against Everton last weekend, but they remain among the lowest scorers in the Premier League and Amorim must coax more goals out of the side.
"As you said, it's disappointing because we ended up with zero points. Especially disappointed because I thought up until the first goal, it was quite equal and quite even," De Ligt told MUTV.
"We didn't have many chances and they didn't have many, but you see the set-plays made a big difference today and the first goal changed the momentum a little bit.
"I had the feeling before the first goal that their crowd had become quiet and in certain moments we controlled the game and they were always a little afraid to concede, but after the first goal, the momentum changed, they got more confidence and we lacked a little bit of confidence.
"Then it's really difficult to play against a good team like Arsenal. At the moment, it's still really tough because nobody wants to lose. The feeling is really disappointed but as you mentioned, there are some positives."
Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee scored a brace each against Everton and they were both named on the bench against Arsenal as Amorim made six changes to the line-up.
Rasmus Hojlund led the attack for United but was isolated and wasn't involved.
