Tottenham are among several clubs monitoring Liam Delap at Ipswich Town
Tottenham Hotspur are experiencing several injury issues which are really testing the depth of Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
As a result, managing all three competitions has been a struggle for Ange Postecoglou, with the Lilywhites sustaining a number of injury problems to some of their key players. And one of those is Richarlison.
Richarlison has barely played this season, struggling with knee and hamstring issues. When fully fit and running, the Brazilian is a quality player to have in the squad. However, Postecoglou needs players who are regularly available for selection, and unfortunately, he isn’t one of them.

Richarlison’s absence means record-signing Dominic Solanke has had to singlehandedly shoulder the responsibility of leading the Tottenham attack this season. And while he has performed reasonably well, Solanke needs rest at regular intervals to avoid burnout. Spurs have a lot of games across various competitions to cover this season and Big Ange will want the English striker to be healthy until May.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday morning from the Hotspur Way, the 59-year-old tactician admitted that the club has to plan to reinforce the striker department during the winter window in the wake of supporting Solanke.
As per recent reports, Spurs are keeping tabs on Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap. The 21-year-old has been in superb form for newly promoted Ipswich Town since arriving from Manchester City in the summer, scoring six goals and assisting once in 14 Premier League games.
Former Liverpool and Fulham midfielder Danny Murphy has backed the young Englishman to emulate Harry Kane’s heroics if he were to move to Tottenham. However, the North Londoners will be in for a lot of competition from Premier League rivals for Liam Delap.

Now, Spurs and several interested parties have been handed a big boost in the pursuit of the Ipswich Town star. According to an exclusive report from CaughtOffside, Manchester City are not expected to be a thorn for clubs trying to sign Delap from the Tractor Boys in the future.
The Sky Blues are in control of the 21-year-old’s future, having inserted a buy-back option when allowing him to depart the club for Ipswich. City could decide to trigger the buy-back clause and then sell the English striker for a healthy profit, but as things stand, the defending Premier League champions are not interested in bringing Delap back.
