According to Olmo, discussions at home often revolve around areas for personal growth, a practice he began during his time in Croatia.

“At home, we discuss things I can improve, I’ve always done it, like in Croatia and it helped me a lot,” he added.

This approach has evidently been instrumental in shaping him into the player he is today. Such a focus on continuous improvement has allowed Olmo to adapt to the high standards demanded at Barcelona.

Aitana Bonmati honoured too

While Olmo was present to receive his award in person, Aitana Bonmati, crowned as the Best Female Player of 2024, was unable to attend the event.

Her accolade was accepted on her behalf by Elena Fort and Antonio Escudero, vice presidents of FC Barcelona. Meanwhile, the club’s president, Joan Laporta, also attended, representing Barcelona’s deep ties to the Catalan football community.

This occasion not only celebrated individual brilliance but also highlighted Barcelona’s ongoing commitment to nurturing world-class talent. With players like Olmo leading the charge, the club’s future appears to be in capable hands.
