Fabian Schar scoring Newcastle's equaliser against Liverpool
Liverpool conceded a late equaliser to draw with Newcastle on Wednesday
Liverpool will be without Alexis Mac Allister for Saturday's Merseyside Derby, with the Argentina star suspended.
Mac Allister was booked in the first half of the Reds' midweek draw with Newcastle United for a foul on Fabian Schar. It was his fifth league yellow of the season, after bookings against Crystal Palace, Chelsea, Arsenal and former club Brighton.
Any player who receives five yellow cards inside the first 19 matches of the season receives a one-match ban. If they see that total rise to 10 yellows before gameweek 32, a two-game ban will follow.
Liverpool's South American is also about to serve a one-match ban in Europe. He was booked against AC Milan, RB Leipzig and Real Madrid, so will miss the trip to Girona on December 10.

Liverpool dropped league points for just the third time all season on Wednesday night. They led 3-2 with just moments remaining, only for a Caoimhin Kelleher misjudgement to allow Schar to steal in for a late equaliser.
The Reds remain top of the table, but their lead has been cut to seven points. Chelsea now sit second after putting five past Southampton, with Arsenal just behind the Blues on goal difference after a 2-0 victory over Manchester United.
Next up for Arne Slot's team is the Merseyside Derby on Saturday lunchtime. Everton were big winners themselves on Wednesday, scoring four without reply at home to Wolves.

Mohamed Salah was Liverpool's standout player at St James' Park, scoring twice after setting up Curtis Jones for the Reds' first goal of the night. The Egyptian's contract situation remains uncertain, but Slot offered a more hopeful update at full-time.
"After the week we had we could change the game which is a very positive thing to take. Every time we need Mo Salah he scores a goal," the Dutchman told Amazon Prime.
"We are hoping and expecting he can continue this for a long time. He was outstanding in the second half, he did many special things for us."
Slot also spoke about Kelleher, whose misjudgement let the hosts in for their equaliser. The Irishman has impressed while deputising for the injured Alisson, but the Reds' first-choice keeper is close to returning.
"He has done remarkably well for us and even today he was good for us," Slot said of Kelleher. "Unfortunately, he misjudged the situation."
