Manchester City got back to winning ways for the first time since October with their 3-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.
After losing six and drawing one of their seven previous matches ahead of the Forest game, City started December in the best way possible in front of their home fans at the Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side put themselves 2-0 up with 31 minutes on the clock before a second-half goal ultimately wrapped things up for the Manchester club.
Even though Jamie Carragher claimed City are out of the Premier League title race as a result of the “mini-crisis” they’ve had in recent weeks, one figure showed against Forest why he could be the one to drag his side to what would be a fifth consecutive league trophy for the Blues.

Doku vs Forest – stats
With 69 touches of the ball in total before being taken off for Savinho in the 89th minute, Doku registered three shots at goal in total as well as successfully completing six dribbles.
This shows how much of a danger he was for City and how the £55m winger terrorised Forest’s defence.
The Belgian ultimately earned himself a strong overall match rating of 8.8/10, making him the second-highest-rated City player on the day behind Kevin De Bruyne (8.9/10) according to SofaScore.
Taking all of that on board, Doku definitely showed against Forest that he has what it takes to be a goal threat for City and someone who could consistently help them win games and potentially push them to another title.
