Noni Madueke starred in Chelsea’s impressive 5-1 win against Southampton on Wednesday night.
Noni Madueke scored one goal and set up another to help Chelsea move up to second in the Premier League table.
With Liverpool drawing 3-3 with Newcastle United, it means the Blues are now seven points behind the division leaders.
Chelsea fans were impressed with Madueke’s display, putting it down to the winger raising his game after being dropped last weekend.

Madueke has been one of Chelsea’s best players this season, scoring five goals in 13 Premier League appearances.
It means that the 22-year-old has already equalled his tally from the previous campaign despite playing 10 games fewer.
Madueke has improved in front of goal, and the Englishman has put that down to his manager Enzo Maresca.

When asked what has the Chelsea boss given him, Madueke told Prime Video: “Me personally, just trust, a lot of faith in me, playing me pretty much all of the games. He’s just helping me with my game, with my goalscoring, all aspects of trying to become a top wide player, so all credit to him and my teammates as well and all of us. It was a great win today and we’re going for more.”

Madueke can be satisfied with his performance at St Mary’s after managing to score a goal and register an assist.
However, had the England international been more clinical, it could have been an even better night for him.
He really had more opportunities to score, missing four big chances. In total, Madueke had seven shots, with five of them being on target.

The most important thing, though, is that Chelsea won. And the former PSV Eindhoven man obviously played a big role in that.
Next up for Maresca’s side is a London derby against Tottenham Hotspur, and you suspect that Madueke has done enough to keep his place in the team.
Chelsea have some really good wide players, with Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto also able to play in Madueke’s position.
Sancho was the man who replaced Madueke at St Mary’s and was also able to get his name on the scoresheet.
But Maresca has shown so much trust in Madueke this season and after his latest outing, he probably deserves to start in Sunday’s London derby.
