Dani Olmo says Barcelona can compete for every possible trophy this season

Because of their financial constraints, FC Barcelona were not able to get many new players in the last summer transfer window, and there were only two new additions to their team, Pau Victor and Dani Olmo.

Pau Victor was mainly a bet for the future, and with the form that Robert Lewandowski has shown up to now, it is easy to understand why he is not getting a lot of minutes.

On the other hand, Dani Olmo has seamlessly adapted to his new team from the very first game, quickly becoming a key player under Hansi Flick. This season, the Spaniard has already scored 6 goals in 11 appearances.

As Mundo Deportivo has noted, these performances are also being recognized as he recently received the award for the Best Player in Catalan football at the 12th Gala Estrelles of the Catalan Football Federation (FCF).

The Barcelona star also spoke to the media at this event, and was certain that this Blaugrana team has the quality to compete for all the trophies this season: “This season, we can expect the best. We’ve started very well and have a team capable of competing for every possible trophy. That’s why I came here—to win.”

Despite their recent dip in form, the Blaugranes have clearly shown their credentials to compete for all the possible trophies this season, and thus Olmo’s comments are not really surprising. Barcelona are already first in La Liga and 3rd in the UCL table, which promises them a direct qualification to the Round of 16.

Hopefully, Flick’s team will continue to build on their last victory against Mallorca, and continue getting the required results in all of their competitions. Dani Olmo will play an integral role in this task, and hopefully, he will also continue with the same form that he has shown up to now.
