FC Barcelona have one of the best attacks in Europe so far this season. They have been scoring goals for fun. Despite not having the best records defensively, except for a few games, Hansi Flick’s team has managed to outscore their opponents.
Robert Lewandowski has turned the clock back with his performances thus far this season while Lamine Yamal has added end product to his game at such a young age. However, Barcelona’s best player this season, without an iota of doubt has been Raphinha.
After a couple of indifferent seasons at the club, the Brazilian forward has truly stepped up and emerged as arguably the best winger in Europe, at least based on current form. The 27-year-old has recorded 16 goals and 10 assists from just 21 games across all competitions this season and is now on track to have the best season of his career.
Against Mallorca midweek, the Brazilian netted twice in Barcelona’s 5-1 win, and after the game, he admitted that he was in the best moment of his career. Just a few months ago, his future at the club was uncertain and now, he has become indispensable for Hansi Flick.
He has been receiving applause from all corners of the world, and his world-class performances have not gone unnoticed. According to a recent report from Fichajes, Saudi club Al-Ittihad is now planning to offer Raphinha a multi-million Euro contract.
They are even willing to make the Brazilian one of the highest-paid players ever in an effort to tempt him to join the league at the prime of his career.

However, all this is mere conjecture. Raphinha bleeds Red and Blue and leaves his soul out on the pitch every single time he represents Barcelona. He is now a club captain and on course to establish his legacy here.
Raphinha is too good a player to spend his prime years as a footballer away from Europe. Barcelona will not be entertaining any kind of offers for him, irrespective of how financially tempting Saudi clubs make it look.
Let’s wait and see how things go forward in Raphinha’s career. One would hope that the player can retain his form for the rest of the season and let’s wait and see how things play out for him going forward.
