Liverpool dropped two valuable points in the Premier League title race as they were held to a 3-3 draw against Newcastle United.
In what turned out to be one of the most entertaining games of the season, the Reds had to come from behind twice to take a 3-2 lead but were pegged back in the closing stages of the game.
Curtis Jones scored on his 150th Liverpool appearance and Mohamed Salah notched up a brace, while Alexander Isak, Anthony Gordon and Fabian Schar got their names on the scoresheet for the Magpies.
There were a handful of reactions to the game, but Alexis Mac Allister’s social media post was a telling one as he expressed his frustration at what happened during the game.

Mac Allister wasn’t at his best for Liverpool vs Newcastle as the likes of Sandro Tonali, Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes suffocated him in midfield, particularly in the first half.
However, he was in the thick of the action as he hit the host and made a series of fouls.
In the 20th minute, he brought down Fabian Schar and was booked for the challenge after a series of offenses as he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season.
Mac Allister will now miss the Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park and will also be unavailable for the UEFA Champions League clash against Girona, having picked up three bookings in Europe.

The £35m Liverpool man midfielder took to Instagram to express his frustration, claiming that his booking was undeserved.
He wrote: “Sometimes it’s not meant to be, but the fight continues. So sad to be suspended for the Merseyside Derby, a huge game, for a yellow that I don’t think I deserved.
“Time to support the boys from outside, come on Liverpool ❤️ @liverpoolfc #YNWA”
How will Liverpool line up without Mac Allister?
Ryan Gravenberch has featured in every Premier League and Champions League game so far and that is likely to continue for the upcoming week at the very least.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones will look to occupy the advanced midfield roles, while Harvey Elliott should also get his chance to impress, having just made his injury return.
Liverpool’s list of absentees is rising with each possible game, which doesn’t bode well for them as they play once in three days during the festive period.
However, it opens up a glorious opportunity for players in the fringes of the squad to stand up and be counted as the Reds look to keep their place at the top of the table.
