‘Jackson can be as good as Haaland’

Former Arsenal great Emmanuel Petit is of the thought that Nicolas Jackson can reach the heights of Manchester City star Erling Haaland following a bright start to the 2024/25 campaign.
The Senegalese star has scored eight goals in 11 Premier League games so far and has been one of Chelsea’s standout performers during the early stages of the season.
While it was previously reported that Jackson faced an uncertain future at the club, the forward has now cemented his place in Enzo Maresca’s starting XI. According to Petit, Jackson can now go on to rival Haaland at the top of the striker’s food chain.
“Can Jackson be as good as Haaland? Why not?,” Petit told ESPN, as per Chelsea news.
“I have no reason to doubt he can replicate the numbers of Haaland. He has such talent around him. Neto, Palmer, so many players who can give him the ball to score.”
“His movement and his understanding with his teammates are great and he’s only going to get better, too.”
