Manchester City secured their first win since October on Wednesday night by beating Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the Premier League.
With 31 minutes on the clock – just three days after they lost to Liverpool at Anfield – City found themselves 2-0 up at the Etihad Stadium against Forest thanks to goals from Bernardo Silva and Kevin De Bruyne.
Jeremy Doku then bagged a third for Pep Guardiola’s side, who eventually went on to keep just their third clean sheet of the campaign and walk away with three points.
After the match, one figure in City’s squad – who played a key role in the win over Forest – shared a post on his social media to commemorate the victory.

He said: “Really enjoyed being back out there with my brothers! Back to winning ways and thank you to fans for always being there with us.”
Guardiola praised Grealish after midfield outing vs Forest
After the match, Guardiola praised Grealish for how he performed in midfield against Forest, saying this in his post-match press conference about the 29-year-old.
He said: “Played really good, played in the middle, was involved in many things and hopefully, if I decide to play him in that position, can be involved in the final third, being decisive in the passes and the goals and the assists.”
“But he gave us what we need, our football was always built in the midfield, the quality that makes our tempo and the glimpses of speed that we make outside and in the way you have to play and after the glimpses of speed from outside, but the control of the game, Jack [Grealish] gives us that pace, when to accelerate, how to add more control, he played brilliantly, I’m so happy for him.”
Completing 89 minutes before being subbed off for Matheus Nunes, Grealish made three key passes against Forest from his midfield position, as well as misplacing just one of the 58 passes he attempted throughout the match.
The England international also managed to show off his defensive attributes by making two tackles and blocking one shot from the opposition to help his side keep a clean sheet.
Now that Grealish has taken to social media to share how delighted he was by Wednesday’s result and how it felt for him to be back playing, he’ll undoubtedly be hoping to continue in this manner moving forward.
